Question
What is a failure rate?
Answer
A failure rate expresses a rough guide to the switchable limits of electronic circuits and other very small loads (i.e., microloads).
The failure rate is the rate at which failure occurs in a unit of time (number of operations) when the Relay is being continuously switched for individually specified test types and loads.
The rate depends on the switching frequency, environment, and expected reliability level. Be sure to confirm operation with the actual equipment in actual usage conditions.
The failure rate is expressed, for example, as the failure rate P value (reference value) giving the performance of the Relay. This value expresses the failure level for a reliability level of 60% (λ60). (JIS C5003)
