Question
What are the causes and possible countermeasures when communications are not possible?
Answer
1. Incorrect Wiring
Check that the connections are equivalent to wired connections between the host and slaves.
Check that the signal directions for send data (SD) and receive data (RD) are correct.
2. Broken Fibers
During communications, look at the opening in the connector attached to the fiber.
Light will visible if the fiber is not broken and will not be visible if the fiber is broken.
Replace the optical fiber if it is broken.
3. Optical Link Modules
There may be a malfunction with the LED, which is part of the Optical Link Module.
Applicable models: Z3R(Optical RS-232C Link Module), Z3G(Optical GP-IB Link Module)
