For Reflective Type Sensor Head: 20.6m (Cable length when shipped from the factory 0.6m + extension 20m)

For Through-beam Type Sensor Head: 10.1m (Cable length when shipped from the factory 2.1m + extension 8m)

For Amplifier Unit: 20m (Cable length when shipped from the factory 2m + extension

Description

1. Length of a cable connected to the Sensor Head when shipped from the factory

Pull-out length of a cable connected to the Reflective Type Sensor Head when shipped from the factory is 0.5m.

Thus, in the case of the Reflective Type Sensor, secured length of a cable between the Sensor Head and the Amplifier Unit is 0.5m＋13.3cm = 63cm when shipped from the factory.

(1) Reflective sensor head

Pull-out length of a cable connected to the Through-beam Type Sensor Head when shipped from the factory is 0.5m, and a 1.5m-long Y-shaped bifurcated Sensor Head - Amplifier unit Connection Cable is included with shipment. Thus, in the case of the Through-beam Type Sensor Head, secured length of a cable between the Sensor Head and the Amplifier Unit is 0.5m＋1.5m＋13.3cm = 2m13cm when shipped from the factory.

(2) Through beam sensor head

2. When a cable connected to the Sensor Head is extended

When the above mentioned cable connected to the Sensor Head is further extended than it is shipped from the factory, be sure to use the following Extension Cable "ZX-XC Series".

ZX-XC8A (Cable Length = 9m)

Example 1:

When a cable connected to the Reflective Type Sensor Head is extended up to 20.6m, use the following cables in combination.

Formula:

Length of a cable connected to the Sensor Head when shipped from the factory (0.5m) ＋13.3cm
＋ZX-XC9A (Cable Length = 9m) × 2 ＋ ZX-XC1A (Cable Length = 1m) × 2
= 0.5m＋13.3cm＋18m＋2m
= 20.6m

Example 2:

When a cable connected to the Through-beam Type Sensor Head is extended up to 10.1m

Formula:

Length of a cable connected the Sensor Head when shipped from the factory (2m)＋13.3cm
＋ZX-XC8A (Cable Length = 8m) × 1
= 2m＋13.3cm＋8m
= 10.1m

3. Length of a cable connected to the Amplifier Unit when shipped from the factory

Length of a cable connected to the Amplifier Unit when shipped from the factory is as follows.

ZX-LDA11 (Cable Length = 2m, NPN Output)

ZX-LDA11 (Cable Length = 10m, NPN Output)

ZX-LDA41 (Cable Length = 2m, PNP Output)

4. When a cable connected to the Amplifier Unit is extended

When the above mentioned cable connected to the Amplifier Unit is further extended than it is shipped from the factory, be sure to use the same type of shielded cables (shield specifications for the Amplifier Unit: 0.1mm in diameter, 51 shielded wires).
