What is the difference in the way that serial ports A and B are used on NT31/631 Programmable Terminals?

Answer



1.Either serial port A or serial port B may be used to connect to the host. Both ports cannot be simultaneously connected to a host.

2.Screen data transfer can be done only using serial port A. Serial port B cannot be used for screen data transfer.
