What is 'contact relay output'? What does 'contact relay output' mean?

Definition

An output with a contact relay built into the Temperature Controller. The contact capacity of relays used in a Temperature Controller is generally small and not sufficient for driving a heater or other large load. The output is thus used with an external electromagnetic contactor.
