What is 'robust tuning'? What does 'robust tuning' mean?

Definition

A method for automatically setting the PID constants according to characteristic changes in the controlled object when performing auto-tuning or self-tuning. This helps reduce hunting and prevent process value stagnation before reaching the set point after performing auto-tuning or self-tuning. Robust tuning is possible only for a temperature input.
