Term : solid state relay

What is 'solid state relay'? What does 'solid state relay' mean?

Definition

A non-contact relay made with a semiconductor. As a signal, a solid state relay switches between inputting and not inputting a DC voltage. When there is an input voltage, the signal is ON and power is supplied to the heater. When there is no voltage, the signal is OFF and power is not supplied to the heater.
