Term : SP ramp

What is 'SP ramp'? What does 'SP ramp' mean?

Definition

A function that prevents step-wise changes in the set point by increasing or decreasing the set point at a set rate (a set slope with time as the horizontal axis) until the final set point is reached. The rate of change in the set point per time unit is set. This is also called the SP rate of change limiter.
