What is 'overcurrent protective relay'? What does 'overcurrent protective relay' mean?
Definition
A relay that operates according to the size of the current measured with a current transformer (CT) when an overcurrent occurs due to a path short circuit or an overload. Normally, an overcurrent protective relay defined in JIS C 4602 (overcurrent relays for high-voltage reception) is used.
