What is 'I/O memory'? What does 'I/O memory' mean?
All of the memory areas that can be read or written by specifying memory area addresses as instruction operands in the user program. "I/O memory" is equivalent to the "image table" defined in JIS B3500 (i.e., a table in memory created to maintain I/O status). I/O memory consists of areas that are cleared and areas that are not cleared when power is turned ON. It also consists of areas allocated for data exchange with PLC Units and areas used internally.
