What is 'cooling coefficient'? What does 'cooling coefficient' mean?

Definition

A cooling coefficient is used when the heating characteristics and cooling characteristics of the controlled object are very different, preventing good control characteristics with the same PID constants for both heating and cooling. The cooling coefficient is used to adjust the proportional band for cooling to achieve a control balance between heating and cooling.
