What is 'input digital filter'? What does 'input digital filter' mean?

Definition

A primary delay filter that reduces fluctuations due to noise in the process value. The input digital filter is used to set the time constant. If the time constant is too small, the filter may not be effective. If the time constant is too large, the input response will become worse.
