What is 'offset'? What does 'offset' mean?

Definition

The proportional action causes an error in the process value due to the heat capacity of the controlled object and the capacity of the heater. The result is a small discrepancy between the process value and the set value in stable operation. This error is called the offset. It may exist above or below the set value.
