What is 'proportional action'? What does 'proportional action' mean?
Definition
A control action in which the manipulated variable output by the Temperature Controller is proportional to the deviation between the process value and the set value. The normal set value is at 50% of the load rate. With only proportional control, the process value and set value will not be balanced at a load rate of 50%, and an offset will occur.
