I/O refresh

Definition

The appropriate product category Programmable Controllers: Cyclic data exchange for specified areas with external devices. The CPU Unit executes instructions individually, and then exchanges data will all external devices (e.g., mounted PLC Units and Units on communications lines) at the same time after all instructions have been executed. Exchanging data with all external devices at the same time is called I/O refreshing.
