Definition

The appropriate product category Programmable Controllers: An open protocol for the serial communications developed by Modicon Inc.（AEG Schneider Automation International S.A.S.). The protocol is widely used in the FA and PA markets for devices such as inverters and temperature controllers. They do not have an organization for verification or approval like other open protocols do. The protocol includes Modbus-ASCII and Modbus-RTU.
