A control method that performs vector control without using a speed sensor. This method calculates the rotation speed of a motor based on the output current or voltage of the Inverter to perform vector control. It enables operating a load in an optimized condition even in an open-loop control system, though it is slightly inferior in the performance in comparison with vector control with a PG. It does not require a motor with a speed sensor (PG) and it improves the speed accuracy and torque characteristic of a motor over that of V/F control in the range from low frequencies to high frequencies.
