An acceleration/deceleration method in which the relationship between the time and output frequency forms an S-curve. A term used for a linear acceleration/deceleration line that shows the constant change of frequency to the elapsing time. An S-curve is used not only to minimize the acceleration/deceleration time required to reach a certain frequency, but also to accelerate/decelerate smoothly with minimal shock due to speed changes.
