*1.Models indicated in parentheses are for the Hold-down Clips. Hold-down Clips are sold as two pieces per set, except for PCY-P, where only one Clip is included per set.
*2.PYF[]A-E models have terminal covers (finger protection). Round crimp terminals cannot be used for these models. Use forked crimp terminals.
*3.The Hold-down Clips are suitable for Relays that are smaller than 36 mm in height. Relays that are taller than 53 mm must be used with Y92H-3 or PYC-1 Back-mounting Sockets. (Y92H-3 is sold as two pieces per set, and PYC-1 as one piece per set.)
Note:Use the Surface-mounting Sockets (i.e., models with finger protection) with "-E" at the end of the model number. When using PF083A and PF113A, be sure not to exceed Sockets’ maximum carry current of 5 A. Using at a current exceeding 5 A may lead to burning. Round crimp terminals cannot be used for models with finger protection. Use forked crimp terminals.

We were using G2R General Purpose Relay to turn a solenoid valve ON and OFF, and sparks at the contact damaged the relay after only about 3 months of use. What caused this, and what kind of countermeasure is there for it?
